Google provides us now with a useful structure (event_name and parameter). That was for ages on a lot of peoples wishlist. Thanks for that. We can also live with their weird approach of automatic and recommended events and custom events. Because we all believe that something great will come with the recommended events.
But how can you f… up the events reports so heavily. Try to find your custom event parameters. It’s jumping through loops. Worst user experience… Just see how Amplitude or Segment are doing. Simple.
But maybe it’s like Simo Ahava wrote in his event post: “For some reason, Google really wants you to use anything but custom events.”
I don’t get it.
But ok Google, I skip Analytics and work directly in BigQuery…🙄
