German newspaper publishers are a great example on how to not understand that a digital business model is not to make a copy of your old business in the digital space (newspaper ads -> facebook ads).

That is a limited way for the future of publishing news.

There are new forms popping up and they will look so different than the old and won’t rely on tracking users across websites.
