In Google Analytics 4 it will be gone
Let’s remember the good times we had:
🧊 – It was the metric with the by far coolest name – who doesn’t wanted to do something with the bounce
🏄🏻♂️ – It was the only metric that you could optimise in 1m – wow, our bounce rate looks so good now, how did you do it? – a wizard does not share his secrets
🥸 – The bounce rate and it’s evil cousin the “time spent on page” were often part of any party we went. How reassuring to find them everywhere as the KPIs that were used for optimisation.
Goodbye Bouncy, we had a great time. But these are new times and they look for new cool KPIs.
